In El Segundo, California, there is a building that, at first glance, appears to be an old combination office/warehouse left over from the 1950s. Inside, however, there is an amazing collection of vehicles curated by Stanley Zimmerman from his own collection, the Automobile Driving Museum has roughly 130 vehicles that are rotated on a regular basis. not only can visitors get close up to the cars, they have days where one can actually ride in one driven by museum staff. In addition, they have weekly events, ranging from themed car shows to car care classes, a Hot Wheels garage with full-sized cars, and an onsite ice cream parlor. I was lucky enough to be able to visit last winter, and will be posting pictures of several cars in their collection.
